Sorenson wins from the pole
Way to go Sorenson! Reed Sorenson won his first Busch Series pole and got his first win all in the same day and he did it with style. They had the car dialed in perfect and no one even came close to challenging him. He led 196 of the 225 laps of the race. Sorenson was also the first driver to win from the pole at Nashville in it's four year Busch Series history. The win moved him up two spots in the standings to second, only 95 points behind Edwards.
I was impressed with this kid from the start of the season and even though it's early in the season, I think he just might be in contention for the championship barring any major problems.
If anyone had any doubts about this kid, they shouldn't now. Sorenson just proved he's the real deal, just like Edwards did last week. This kid can race!

David,
You are correct, the field has gotten a lot tighter in all the series's and especially in Busch. My wife keeps pointing that out, but I am stubborn and I still expect Martin to win every race.

No sir I wouldn't count Martin out either. The gist of what I was meaning is that at this early stage there are more serious contenders than expected. Far from being a clear run at a second straight title for the #8 - Edwards, Bowyer and Sorenson look like they have a legitimate shot at it too. And then you have the outsiders like Stremme, Hmiel etc. But its very early, especially since they use the older points system.

David,
That is commonplace in any sport to assume the current champion is the odds on favorite to repeat. But with Truex sitting in 4th place in points I wouldn't exactly say not so fast.
Reed is doing well at this point and he deserves the early attention, but don't count out Martin.

Before the season started they all said Truex Jr would be champion again. Not so fast!!

Yeah, he really "stunk" up the place!!!! What a performance!!!!!! The big teams driver development programs are altering the makeup of all the existing series.
How about that Erin Crocker in the ARCA show!!
I'm really proud of a local Colorado racer, Jerry Robertson, who made the race on time. Gives us "high plains" fans a greater connection with BGN!!!
