Stewart wins Atlanta, Kenseth still on top
Stewart won at Atlanta and this time it wasn't a close finish. Half of the Chase field had trouble and Kenseth may not have won, but he finished fourth, keeping the points lead although Johnson moved up to second in points, only 26 points behind. The difference between first and fifth is 84 points and with only three to go, I think those are the only ones that have a chance.
One of the biggest surprise finishers was Robby Gordon, finishing tenth, but that's not without controversy. Burton all but accused Robby of throwing the debris on the track which gave Robby the lucky dog and the opportunity to finish tenth. As of yesterday, NASCAR said it was inconclusive.
Stewart also won the IROC Championship on Saturday, still pledging to give the money back to IROC if they'll hold one of the races next year at Eldora. Last I heard was they were going to look at the feasibility of running the cars on the dirt there.

I agree that only the top five have a legitimate chance at this point.
It is disappointing to see the RCR slide.

Tony's heart is in the right place trying to get IROC on dirt to determine a true "champion's champion" but he needs to push for it to happen at Knoxville instead of Eldora. The Iowa track is much better suited for corporate involvement and TV coverage than the backwoods track he owns.
