Gordon's winning car fails inspection
Jeff Gordon's winning car failed post-race inspection after the Duels and he will start 42nd in the 500.
Gordon's car was too low, supposedly because of a "misaligned" bolt on the shock fastener.
According to Robin Pemberton, Vice President of Competition for NASCAR - "We're sure this wasn't intentional." He also said that no points deductions or fines will be assessed.
I wonder why this wasn't found before the race? If it wasn't intentional, the bolt would have been misaligned then too. Sounds a bit fishy to me, especially with as heavy as they've come down on other teams this week.
Your thoughts?

If they fined J. Gordon and docked points he may end up missing The Chase (again). Then they would have to expand the Chase to 15 next year. That's a lot of work for NASCAR, it's easier to just let it slide and hope no one notices.
