Gordon wins Dega, takes the points lead and Chase shakeup
Gordon made the winning move on the last lap of the race and was able to hold off teammate Jimmie Johnson for the win. Gordon was behind Johnson and Stewart was coming strong on the outside, Gordon made the move and pulled up in front of Stewart, who was able to push Gordon to the win. Good move on Gordon's part.
For the most part, seems like everyone was trying to behave and it was kind of boring when they were all running single file until they reached the halfway point, then they started taking chances and then they went back to single file until close to the end.
The Big One happened on lap 145 collecting Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin, Jamie McMurray, David Reutimann Paul Menard, Bobby Labonte, Dave Blaney, Brian Vickers, David Ragan and Robby Gordon.
Oh and the RCR/DEI engine program needs to be looked into. Out of seven cars running those engines, only two didn't have engine troubles. First Burton blew, then Truex, then Earnhardt Jr., Harvick had a valve problem but finished the race and Almirola had a valve problem too. Only Bowyer and Menard didn't have engine problems out of all of those cars.
Between the Chasers involved in the Big One and others having engine troubles, the points got shaken up a bit too. Only two are less than 100 points out...Johnson in second, 9 points behind and Bowyer in third, 63 points behind, Stewart is fourth 154 points back and the rest are 200 or more points out. Stewart is a longshot, but it looks like there are only four cars running for the Championship now.
