Waltrip gets a new equal partner - new name MWRH
Michael Waltrip announce a new equal partner and new name of his race team. Robert Kauffman, founder and managing partner of Fortress Investment Group, will lead the financial and business side of Michael Waltrip Racing Holdings, LLC. The is a personal investment by Kauffman and has nothing to do with his investment group, but most feel his background will help a lot. I can see it helping on the financial and business side, but I don't see how it's really going to help the racing side.
They also announced that Reutimann will start in the #00, but as soon as Jarrett vacates the #44, he'll be in that car. Waltrip will continue to drive the #55 and there has been no official announcement on who will be in the #00, but rumor has it that it will be Mayfield.
Honestly, if he really wants to get the team up off the ground here, he needs new drivers, Reutimann is fine, I really don't have an issue with him, but Waltrip still staying in the car I think is a mistake, as is hiring Mayfield, if that rumor is indeed true.
Your thoughts?

Well my whole contention with MWR, Is MW needs to be a driver...NOT a TV personality, NOT a "Rockstar"...I could say things about him but I won't, He's never done me wrong...I personally like the guy. MWRH is going to be a respected organization, They have a bunch of dedicated empolyees...I was worried that if Ty Norris left, the outfit would fold, But I feel that they are headed in the tight direction...Cal Wells taking on a more responsibities...I personally thought Cal was gonna team up with the #7, and I'm glad that he's come aboard to help pick up this organization, I can tell if things arn't going well when I talk to the guys.
Now Y'all can bash MW all you like, Go ahead and bash Toyota...BRING IT!...I'll just eat it and Smile...and ask? would you like some grey poupon with your crow? I never folloed MW until he won The Winston, But Dale Earnhardt signed him...and by GOD I would never question Sr!
Bringing in Investors seems to be the fad, I'm not keen on how to run a Cup team, But I know it's hard to be an Owner/Driver, Once Eric finds his nitch and knows all the cars and set ups, MWRH'cars will come to life, 'Dega was no fluke!
I'll slit my wrists if Mayfield comes aboard...he's just plain bad luck...he's used up his 15 minutes of fame from the Pocono "bump"...I kinda figured DJ wouldn't go 2 years...and after He, Petree, and Doc did those races...he Knew too...It's funny, A buddy told me the #55 would win tonight, I said nope ain't gonna happen cuz it ain't a Wood Bros car! I CAN talk Ship, But Y'all better tread carefully...I'll come atcha like Spidermonkey...or is that Spiderpig?
