Kenseth wins Ford 400 and Johnson wins title
As expected Jimmie Johnson won the championship.
Matt Kenseth won the Ford 400 at Homestead in a rather dominating fashion, only a few times were other cars able to challenge him and then start to fade away, while Kenseth just kept on going. Not bad considering they were having battery problems and there was also a mention of brakes too.
For the season finale, it was a rather boring race, not exactly what the fans were hoping for. It would have been nice to see more battles on the track. I do have to say good job to Jeff Burton and crew for battling back from tire problems early in the race to finish 8th.
Now, these cars will be no more, at least for the Cup Series and they'll move on to the COT, or whatever they want to call it.
Truex and Hamlin were the ones that finished outside of the top ten in the standings, meaning that while they made The Chase, they won't be at the table at the banquet.
Your thoughts?

Congrats to Matt Kenseth and the #17 team for winning at Homestead. AS Kathy said " In rather dominating fashion".
Also congrats to Jimmie Johnson for winning his second Cup Championships (back to back, no less).

Boy were they sucking up to Hendricks & Johnson today. When Matt Kenseth won the championship, he didn't get that much air time. Nascar has got their favorite drivers that for sure! I thought Alan "Bisquick" was going to kiss Jimmie Johnson. I guess this could have been worse. Gordon could have won! But in the end, the cheaters prevailed. I bet all the media will be partying now. With all that Hendricks money that he pays out to Nascar & the media. One thing is for sure, Hendrick let one of the best drivers go. Kyle Busch will drive circle around Jr. Maybe thats the reason he wants Jr, so nobody can stand in the way of Jimmie & Jeff winning another championship because Jr sure want.
