Burton wins Bristol - RCR cars 1, 2, 3 finish
Jeff Burton pulled out the win when Hamlin had problems in a green-white-checkered finish, Harvick came in second and Bowyer finished third.
The RCR cars were definitely strong today, of course I don't think Stewart is too happy with Harvick right now after Harvick lost it in the turn and got into Stewart. I'm sure they'll work it out though, since they are friends off the track.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. again, was the top HMS car of the race, while Gordon and Johnson struggled again. I guess the dynasty is crumbling?
On to DW, why didn't they have someone else stand in for him? The man couldn't talk, they should have just let him rest his voice.
Oh, and how many more races does FOX have? I'm sorry, but I can't stand that "Let's go racing boys" song that they have as an intro to the race. I'll be happy when I won't have to hear that anymore!
Congrats to Jeff Burton on the win and RCR on the 1, 2, 3 finish!

Thumbs Up:
- Dale Jarrett
Congratulations on a great career. I hate to see him leave the track but he will be a fantastic addition to the ESPN broadcast booth.
- Brian Vickers, David Reutimann, Michael Waltrip, and Dale Jarrett
Congratulations to these drivers and race teams for persevering through last year's stress and hardships to get those cars into the top 35 in owner's points. I'm very happy that the 83, 00, 55, and 44 teams will finally get to experience going to a race track without having to worry about qualifying on time at Martinsville. Yes I know Kurt Busch and the #2 team are "new" to the top 35 as well but I'm not going to give a 2007 Chase team that has actually changed nothing from last year (other than giving up their points to Sam Hornish) kudos for being in the top 35 after race 5 of 2008.
- Richard Childress Racing
1-2-3, need I say more? Way to go guys.
- Greg Biffle
Another quiet, yet very good run.
- Dale Earnhardt Jr.
3 straight top 5 finishes.
- Aric Almirola
INCREDIBLE run for this rookie. He ran better at Bristol then Mark Martin did anywhere else the rest of this year. Very pleasant surprise.
- David Gilliand
Great top 10 finish.
- Joe Gibbs Racing
Terrible luck for all 3 cars but great runs nonetheless. They probably deserved the 1-2-3 finish that RCR ended up getting.
Thumbs Down:
- Dario Franchitti and and Regan Smith
These rookies got a free pass by piggybacking on other drivers' 2007 points for 5 weeks and failed to deliver so they certainly deserve having to finally put up with the stress of having to qualifying on time, as they should have had to to begin with at the start of the season.
- Jamie McMurray
I am stunned that a Roush Racing car with a former Cup winner in it has fallen outside the top 35! They deserve a lot more than 2 thumbs down, they deserve at least 10 thumbs down. I'm praying Roush doesn't do a BS point swap with the 17 to save McMurray's rear end. Think about the owner's championship Jack! You'd be giving that up if you do this points swap now.
- Dave Blaney
Shame on Dave Blaney for having such an awful start to the season. Maybe the talk of him being a "darkhorse" every week and the most underrated driver in this series will finally stop for good now. I, for one, have heard enough of it already.
- Kyle Petty
As for Kyle Petty, you could see this coming for a couple years now after finishing 35th in owner's points in '06 and '07. Let's also hope they respect the integrity of the sport and don't swap the points between the 43 and 45 cars.
- the ABC television network
I hate these guys. I hoped ABC would follow NBC and Fox's lead under the "modern era TV contracts" in never abandoning a race in the middle of a rain delay but now they are officially 2 for 2 in leaving NASCAR fans out in the cold when it rains on an ABC race. In the Kansas Cup race last year the event ended 2 hours and 15 minutes after the originally scheduled off-air time and ABC had long abandoned the race by that point and Saturday's Nationwide race was called 1 hour and 15 minutes after the originally scheduled off-air time and again ABC had long abandoned TV coverage by that point. I hope NASCAR is paying attention and removes these guys from the next TV contract. If you can't stay on the air for as little as an extra 1 or 2 hours to cover an outdoor sporting event that can't run in the rain then you need to get the hell out!!!!!!

Another Top 5 for Junior and he moves up to 5th. He continues to be the class of the Crook Motorsports.
Congrats to Jeff Burton and the entire 31 team. Congrats to RCR 1-2-3 finish. Harvick continues to have a good start to the 2008 season.
Too bad for Tony Stewart, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time and finished in 14th.
