Kasey Kahne wins All-Star Race
Kasey Kahne was voted in as the fan favorite and he thanked the fans by winning the All-Star Race. It was the first time a voted in driver has won, congrats Kasey!
Allmendinger and Hornish transferred over by having the top two spots in the Challenge. Even though Allmendinger won the Challenge, it was a good bet that he didn't get any congratulations from Elliot Sadler, who had an early run-in with Allmendinger that took him out of the race.
In the All-Star Race it seemed like Kyle Busch was going to run away with it, but they had engine troubles, as did teammate Denny Hamlin, Tony Stewart had troubles in practice which started him at the rear of the field for the race, something was definitely amiss in the engines at JGR and they need to get that fixed before the 600 next weekend.
OK, rant time. What was with DW last night? He couldn't seem to make up his mind on who he thought was going to win the race, he jumped from one driver to the next, whoever was doing the best at the time. First he was all Kyle Busch, then he jumped to Edwards, Johnson, Jr. and Biffle. It seemed like whoever was the "hottest" at the moment was his pick, he just couldn't seem to stick with anyone, but he never did pick the winner of the race, Kasey Kahne.
Your thoughts?

First off, congrats to Kasey and the #9 team, he won the All Star Race as a vote-in and his crew chief made the gutsy call to not take any tires on the mandatory pit stop.
It seemed like who ever got out in front in clean air was able to build a bit of a lead until something happened, ie. Kyle Busch's engine expired. Kyle Busch would have won it had it not been for the engine issue that as kathy said plagued the JGR teams all weekend.
Based on the cheers from the crowd when Busch's car was being pushed behind the wall the majority of the crowd weren't too upset to see Kyle drop out of the race.
It seems that we may have a new Intimadator in NASCAR, with Kyle Busch's on track persona and the fan reactions when he is introduced, it brings back memories of the late great Dale Earnhardt Sr. in his hayday.
Now on to DW, he is the absolute worst commentator on any network that covers NASCAR, I just wish they would ban him from ever doing another broadcast again.

Kathy & Jon - I posted about DW on your last blog subject. But you both said it better than I did. He absolutely ruined any enjoyment of the race I might have had. He now has a new man-crush on Hornish. I can understand some of his enthusiasm over KyB but the way he raved about Sam made me sick.
Elliot Sadler was a complete ass with the way he slammed Allmendinger. He must not remember what he himself did last week.
Another point about DW - last week he blamed the wreck between Stewart and Sadler as being Tony's fault as well as Elliot's. But when the same thing happened last night, he blamed it all on Allmendinger. He always plays favorites. Can we please "vote him off the island"?
