Lawsuits, Investors and NASCAR
Well, the two biggest stories this week, NASCAR-wise, are the lawsuit and Petty Enterprises.
I have to say I wasn't surprised to see Petty get an investor to help the team, especially after their move, I was surprised to read comments from others that it gave the investor majority in the company, I never thought Petty would do that, but I never thought Evernham would have done it either and he did. Hopefully it will help breath new life into the team, their first job was re-signing Bobby Labonte and if they're going to be the ones calling the shots, I can see Kyle out of the car soon.
The other big news is the discrimination lawsuit against NASCAR. I've read this ladies accusations and I have a hard time believing anyone would put up with what she says she put up with for so long. I may not always be happy with the way NASCAR does things, but I've read and heard that they have channels for employees to go through to handle problems of this nature and/or other problems and this lady did not do that according to NASCAR. Now she says she went to her supervisor and nothing was ever done.
My biggest question is why would she put up with this stuff for two and a half years? Why only file a lawsuit AFTER being fired? It just doesn't seem right. If all this did happen, why did it happen just to her? There are other women employed by NASCAR and I haven't heard any complaints, this is usually where more seem to come out of the woodwork if it's a wide problem once someone comes forward, that hasn't happened here.
I just find it hard to believe anyone would put up with treatment like that for so long and it doesn't seem to help her case that there are no records of any of these allegations, it also doesn't help that she did not file any lawsuit for this horrible treatment of her until after she was fired.
Your thoughts?

Kurt2, thanks for the clarification, but youneed trethink yur derangement about Pocono.
Diane, Deborah Renshaw et al were even worse than Danifraud. And yes that was me who wrote that Helium piece. Unlike some other people I don't sugarcoat anything, I call it as it is.

Diane, I hate frauds and I hate "diversity." "Diversity" is quotas, nothing more. I criticize anyone who is a fraud. If you think I'm singling out women, it's because they are foisted on the sport for the sake of "diversity" and they add nothing to the sport.

Jon2,
Do us all a favor and go and don't let the door hit you in the ass.

I'm sure it was coming and not just breathing hard.

I read where one of the guys that was suspended got out of the shower with a towel on
yeah but did he have the centre pole up??

J2: Bye-Bye then.

I believe it's already been referred to by someone above, just read it on the Drudge Report regarding these two NASCAR characters.
NASCAR's Tim Knox and Bud Moore have been placed on indefinite administrative paid leave as result pf waving their private parts at I take it was Ms. Grant.
This is getting even more embarassing by the moment.
I don't know if I even want to continue to be associated with NASCAR. All this racism, bigotry, and now these two w__nie wavers on NASCAR's staff. I'm glad my congregation isn't aware of my involvement in the sport. Probably would consider kicking me out or recommending therapy.
ahhhhh....I was feeling good yesterday afternoon, got my new Jr. collectible car, and now come to find out that NASCAR has sexual deviants on it's staff.

Here is the first paragraph of a story written by Michael Daly for Helium.com:
"by Michael Daly
Is there any more useless driver in NASCAR than Erin Crocker? Here is a driver who, by virtue of being a woman, gets a quality ride in NASCAR's higher levels, the BGN and Truck Series, and in the process like other female drivers such as Danica Patrick, Shawna Robinson, and Deborah Renshaw, Crocker gets a free pass from media criticism."
Here is the link if you want to read the whole article:
http://www.helium.com/items/648366-nascar-driver-profile-erin-crocker
I have no way to know if this was written by the Mike Daly who posts here. But sure sounds like it.
Mike Daly - Do you hate women? Do you critize bad male drivers the way you do the females? If so, please post a link so I can read it.
And FYI I'm not into women's lib in any way, shape or form.

Daly ,
I fingured since you are off your meds this "clue " might help you.
"Kurt2, how about you get real for a change? "Dr. Joe?" Who is that? Or do you not have a clue to reality again?" Posted by Daly.
Here fool:
Soon, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will install signs — they'll have be to long ones — at each end of Dr. Joseph Mattioli and Dr. Rose Mattioli Drive. The Mattioli's have owned and operated Pocono Raceway since 1968. Pocono Raceway"
Humm wonder whom my reference to Dr. Joe might be? DUH

this is what NASCAR gets for going for diversity for diversity sake. no good deed goes unpunished. i feel bad for the blacks in NASCAR who are playing it straight
Posted by: motorman | Jun 14, 2008 4:54:53 PM
Sorry K2, He's off his meds

Daly, you need a freaking check dumbass. Whom is the good doctor? You love his freaking track, are you too damn stupid to get it.
Danica sucks? Daly you might go get added to Mauricas lawsuit.
Total freaking moron, least you show your colors..
PLEASE TELL ME DALY YOU KNOW WHOM DR. M is????? You rant how wonderful his place is. You act like most of his family
Posted by: Kurt2 | Jun 14, 2008 4:35:07 PM
Kurt2,
I read where one of the guys that was suspended got out of the shower with a towel on. What in the hell was she doing being anywhere near some guy taking a shower?? I also read on Fox Sports where some guy said she had 4 workers comp claims.
She sounds like a real piece of work.
Sorry about Tim on his untimely death. He always seemed like a really good guy.
I want to pull for Smoke since he is giving all his earnings away to the Red Cross for the people in his area due to the floods.

Mike Daly,
A few women have died serving their country in Iraq too. I'm sure their military units, families and friends miss them.
Posted by: Kari | Jun 14, 2008 3:43:07 PM
Mike Daly - IMO misogyny and racism are dead ends, not diversity. That includes in racing and in life. It's the 21st century after all.
Posted by: Diane | Jun 14, 2008 2:59:16 PM
dianne
Also don't count out the 31 since he has outside pole.
yeah rain is the best answere for the 31 to qualify good lol that crew can take the day off lol
Posted by: aggie | Jun 14, 2008 2:52:57 PM
Kurt2, how about you get real for a change? "Dr. Joe?" Who is that? Or do you not have a clue to reality again?
You mention Danica Patrick - she sucks, period. I ask again - if racing is all white males, so what? "Diversity" is a dead end.
Posted by: Mike Daly | Jun 14, 2008 2:45:50 PM
Maybe I am wasting my time with exile, but he should not be slandering as he does.
No, exile, we didn't "invade the wrong country." Iraq was the largest base for Islamo-Arab terrorism and WE NAILED THEM. The Islamo-Arab enemy killed 4,000 Akerican men. Blame the enemy instead of us.

Diane,
Per internal rules you are NOT to keep a diary without the express written permission from the sanctioning body that is NASCAR>>
Brian, was at Sr's funeral with his son, they were really close to Dale Sr. as was Brooks and Dunn. Brian Willimas is a NASCARfan and a great guy as Ronnie and Kix are as well
Posted by: Kurt2 | Jun 14, 2008 2:17:10 PM
K2 - After your post I remember that Brian Williams is a big NASCAR fan. I've heard him talk about it several times on TV.
K2 - As you have I also wondered about Mauricia's specifics. I can hardly remember what happened last week. When I read the lawsuit it made me wonder if she was planning this all along and had kept a diary. That's the only way I can believe that she was able to list such specific details.
Posted by: Diane | Jun 14, 2008 1:33:45 PM
I got to meet Brian Williams on a few occasions and he is a great guy, the Russert thing is mind blowing period..
Damn F5, you ball and mine intertwined minus the 83:)
We have to be good human beings from now on per the POWERS that be, i guess we were heathens. not alot thrilled with the 2 guys basically getting canned.
Thanks Maurica, have a great weekend. oh thats right you got fired for not doing your job, but then again its someone elses fault.
I have done this long enough its hard for me to remember "SPECIFIC" dates for everything.. I made a note to myself, according to her and the lawsuit Martinsville was moved to South Carloina. Maybe I did this too long and always thought it was in Va.:):)
Posted by: Kurt2 | Jun 14, 2008 1:04:19 PM
That was sad, about Tim Russert. I never saw that one coming.
Posted by: dave | Jun 14, 2008 12:58:58 PM
aggie & Kari - I ditto your comments about Tim Russert. He was my favorite commentator and must admit I shed a few tears. NBC/MSNBC lost their leader.
The news business is usually cut-throat. But I'm very proud of the way that CNN, ABC, CBS and especially main rival Fox News handled Russert's passing.
I don't usually do this but my crystal ball says: 83, 20, 16 & 48. Also don't count out the 31 since he has outside pole.
Posted by: Diane | Jun 14, 2008 12:12:37 PM
K2,
Now your ball is talkin'!
Aggie,
It is very sad. It's doubly sad when a parent outlives their child as Big Russ will now do. I'm going to give my dad an extra hug tomorrow and a prodding to make sure he's up-to-date on his physicals. He too is just 58.
Posted by: Kari | Jun 14, 2008 11:10:26 AM
For you tv political fans very sad that tim russurt died, i laways liked his views and guests plus he wrote a great book about his dad

Hey DJ,
I'm in Fayetteville right now drinkin a cool Dos Equis Ambar with my Dad!! GOOD TIMES!! We'll have to hook up one of these times I come to Fayeteville (about once a month) and catch a couple of cold ones! Just give me a call.
K2, I see your still reading old PussBoy's (FS) posts. I just got tired of his stupid shit. Guess it's fun to prod him on every once in a while (like this LOL). Maybe I should really go by and see him. I am not that far away really. Na, he's the type to piss his pants, fall down and skin his knee while trying to get to the phone calling 911 and then try and blame it all on someone else.LMAO What a Pu**y!
K2 good luck this weekend. Probably won't watch. Will probably be out flying (RC stuff) at Fort Bragg. Then driving back home.
Aggie, sorry I missed your call. I was getting a haircut but will have my phone with me at all times now so feel free to call anytime.
Barb, your welcome, I thnk FS fits too but I will reserve the right to use each as I see fit ;-)
Gretch, When does your yach pull into Charleston? LOL Just let me know and I will be there with bells on! LMAO
You all be good and have a great weekend!
See Yaaaa
Roos......
uh I mean Radster
Posted by: Radster | Jun 13, 2008 8:36:39 PM
Kathy,
If you've seen his new haircut, you know why we aren't hitting on Carl.
Now Bobby L. and Casey M. look really good with their buzz cuts.
Posted by: Diane | Jun 13, 2008 8:33:58 PM
Gretchen, if I weren't married, I'd want to marry you! lmao! Your posts are priceless!
I happen to love listening to Limbaugh, Hannity, and Neal Bortz, not to mention that my TV pretty much stays locked on Fox News. I laugh my ass off at people who critcizie Fox News, simply because they don't feed us the rest of the Kool Aid that the liberal media tries to get us to drink. That pretty much tells everyone that I stand with politics.
I haven't even bothered to read the story about the lawsuit against Nascar. I've seen enough of these bullshit claims. I'm waiting for Jessie and Al to jump into the fray. Those two can eat shit and die anytime soon, and it would suit me just fine.
Posted by: Ironman | Jun 13, 2008 8:23:39 PM
Diane,
Who knows, maybe Carl will file a lawsuit cause no one's hitting on him! =)
Posted by: Kathy | Jun 13, 2008 8:15:59 PM
Kathy,
Dottie and I are hitting on Tony. The All-State ladies are after Kasey and now Kari is hitting on Bobby.
But we don't want Cousin Carl. So please don't file a lawsuit against us for sexual harassment.
Posted by: Diane | Jun 13, 2008 7:40:13 PM
DJ,
Of course your ball is better. Except why do you keep throwing the 99 in there? Yuck. ;) If you can grill like that, I'm making plans to come to Charlotte JUST to tailgate with you and yours! Yowza.
In the spirit of generosity, Graceann should have KK on the boat since I had him in the backyard. ;) After seeing the early part of qualifying and that fresh crew cut he was sporting, I'm bringing Bobby Labonte. DJ, look at your ball again--isn't the 43 in there somewhere???
Posted by: Kari | Jun 13, 2008 7:31:25 PM
Sounds like Helton took the drivers and owners to the woodshed and then taped their mouths shut.
There HAS been a lot of whining going on. And maybe the guys have been complaining too much. But I don't think I like that drivers have been told to keep their opinions to themselves. Oh, I forgot, NASCAR is a dictatorship.
Posted by: Dian | Jun 13, 2008 6:48:20 PM
nascar will pay her just like thay paid off that sob jesse jackson for years, now nascar told the drivers to shut the f up about the cot not driving right, nascar is a bunch of as wipes, when will the people see that nascar can not make money if the fans stop going to the races,it is about time for brian france get the hell out
Posted by: larry | Jun 13, 2008 6:32:11 PM
Gang...I hell hate when they call qualifying off and don't even make an attempt either later in the day or they have all day Saturday.Damn it!!
K2....yes,I am having an cold Keystone Light as I speak.Felt like being different as I shopped for a couple of thick Bone-In Ribeye's.I just got done fixin' them up with a side garnish of white corn on the cobb, sliced long ways zuchini, and some Texas toast. While they all soak a little in various DJism's,I shall put a few Scremps on a stick and have them in one hand and the cold one in the other.I love Friday evening's when the weather is good.
Got ya'll's mouth watering??Good,as it was my intent!Agg on the "G" yacht?Hmmmmm.....I may be there after a few of these 5.0 Keystones and a shot of the GG!
Kari,as my ball is better than K2's.......
99,16,48,9,17...darkhorse the 6.
Happy Father's day to all kinds of Dad's.
Posted by: DJ | Jun 13, 2008 6:27:56 PM
Dottie,
All of the bad weather you've had in Michigan hit here in Indiana first. So many homes destroyed by flooding. I'm also lucky and have power today. Another storm is getting ready to hit now so I'm turning off my computer.
We can share Tony on Gs yacht. :)
Stay safe up there!!
Posted by: Diane | Jun 13, 2008 5:29:03 PM
I'm waiting for qualifying but it is raining
and they may not get to qualify. Michigan
has been in a turmoil since last Sunday. We
had a terrible storm with tornadoes and (6)
people were killed in MI. The winds were
like 70 MPH everywhere in MI. You were just
lucky if you had electricity. There were
eighty-seven thousand people who were still
without power as of yesterday (Friday).
Workers from other states and 300 workers
from as far as Missouri come to help restore
power. Workers are still trying to clean up
the debris. It's been 90 degrees here this
week and people with no electricity. I was
lucky, I have power, thank God. Another
storm hit one section of MI this morning
and a lot more damage was done. I'm just
hoping they can get the race in this week-
end.
Diane
If Tony goes on Gretchen's yacht, I'm going
to. ha,ha
I pick #20 to win the MI race.
