A Happy Saturday Shootout
After being squeezed into the wall in the early segment and then getting more minor damage from other incidents on the track and losing the draft, I didn't expect Harvick to be up there in the end, let alone win it, but he did.
The downtime in the off-season seemed to have paid off, because Harvick was surprisingly calm throughout the race. I loved his end comment on the radio when he won the race though, "And that Ladies and Gentlemen, is why you never give up."
It was an exciting race after a long off-season with a record number of cautions. I'm not sure if it's because it's been so long since we've seen racing or not, but the cars seemed to have been bouncing around a lot more this time. It should prove for an exciting 500 with 43 cars on the track instead of just 28.
Racing is back!

The Shootout was crazy but fun. Looking forward to the Duel on Thursday and the 500 on Sunday.
Props to McMurray. He picked up right where he left off in 2008. Aggie, eat your words. He's not a bumbler. lol.
Bigger props to Happy Harvick. He's going to be a factor all year. Might be my 2nd choice to win the Cup.
The Dinger needs a full time sponsor so he can run all year. He's a talented, entertaining driver. A sponsor's dream.
Sadler disappoints again.
What was Vicker's CC thinking?
Congrats to Smoke.:)))

Looked like the usual NASCAR to me. Same assholes causing wrecks this year as last year and prior years...
I may have to take #24 for the 500, providing the "same wrecking balls" do not interfere. He looked real good pushing, so if he's pushing in 2nd place on last lap, he's got a damn good shot....
