Martinsville puts on a better show than Bristol
I've always been a fan of Bristol races, but I have to say that this weeks Martinsville race definitely put on a better show for the fans. We seemed to have seen more racing for position, inlcuding the lead (although only between two or three different drivers) and some typical beatin and bangin, which is typical of short tracks. Johnson even almost spun Hamlin for the lead, but Hamlin held on and didn't wreck with 15 laps to go, I can just imagine the radio chatter on Hamlins scanner after that happened as Johnson seemed to pull away.
Both Gordon and Hamlin seemed to have the cars to beat, especially Gordon early on, but Gordon faded a bit near the end, but not that far, others running up front were Stewart, Johnson and Bowyer was quietly there in the top five.
Congrats to Johnson for the win, but I don't want to hear his fans say he's not aggressive and won't bump people out of the way, this race clearly showed he would, not saying that's a bad thing, just don't say your driver doesn't do it.
All in all, I think it was a good race, better than last week.
Your thoughts?

The 31 had a tire go down with about 3 laps to go. :( If that hadn't happened Jeff would have finished 12th instead of 15th and would be 12th in points.

How did Montoya finish 12th? He was 22nd what seemed like 20 laps before the finish? Decent race, lots going on, passing(!) and a battle for the finish. Man, Johnson & Knauss own that place. Definitely a better race than Bristol.
