Johnson dominates Dover
Jimmie Johnson dominated the race at Dover and won. Unlike the other races this weekend, the fastest car did win, as was shown in the final 20 laps of the race with how fast he closed in on the leaders. I will say that I'm not a Johnson fan, but Knaus really knows how to set up a car and if they happen to miss the setup, he adds his magical touch to make the car better by the end of the race, just wondering how long that'll last.
Oh and look who's in the points lead...Tony Stewart. Where are all the naysayers and detractors that said he was gonna do bad this year with his new team? Don't hear them anymore do you? Tony proved that it's a combination that puts you up there and even though they haven't won a points race yet, he's first in points now.

I'm just a race fan and I could not care less what Jr or Kyle say or do off the racetrack. I can only judge them by what I see on the track. I was at all three races at Dover this past weekend and watching Kyle on Satruday was worth every penny and more that I paid to get in. If you can not appreciate what he does on the track then maybe your time would be better spent watching golf or baseball.
As for Jr on Sunday, every time he came out of the pits he lost positions. His team got him out of the pits once in 3rd place and he finished the stint in 12th. He finished where he did because the caution came out catching a lot of guys a lap down. Otherwise he finishes somewhere in the 20s.
From what I see Kyle is far and away the better driver right now. And By the way, I actually heard some boos for the first time ever when Jr was introduced.

i completely agree with you.
the in car camera at Jr's next to last race showed him sawing back and forth on the steering wheel almost a 1/4 turn continually around the corners.
the says loud and clear... it ain't getting adjusted right.
so, either the driver can't tell the crew chef wtf's going on and/or the crew chef just don't know what to adjust to fix it.
tony sr:
tony jr is a self taught engineer. he can do all the stuff the engineers do. he can run a computer simulation like the engineers do.
team guy:
no, tony jr can not run a computer simulation.
tony jr was the only cc that wasn't an engineer. now i gotta say a lot of college grads aren't worth the powder to ... etc, but i gotta say if i'm in a race car i hope to hell my cc is an engineer.
i like tony sr and i don't really like tony jr (not that it matters in real life) so i'm happy as hell Jr has a real 2009 type cc up there.
i noticed a crew guy was counting down the pit spaces left as in 5 4 3 2 1. don't know if they did that before but i'm glad they took my advise.

that haven't accomplished near as much as
Jr. has but most want to crucify him. I say,
give him and his new C.C. a chance to turn
the 88 team around. I'm sure TEJr. is a good
C.C. but being family, it just wasn't good
business and it seldom works with family. I
think R.H. did the right thing separating
the two cousins. Now Jr. can settle down and
start focusing on his driving and hopefully
win a race or two. There's not going to be
any miracles right off the bat, it's going
to take time and hard work for the whole
team. I like Jr. and I honestly believe he
will do a lot better with the new C.C.

Darn rain here in middle America has postponed the Prelude race at Eldora tonight. Big disappointment, been looking forward to watching it for weeks. Now have to wait till Sept. :((

steve best way to describe a bike trip is like this
car u see the scenary
convertabile u enjoy the scenary more, like in vegas u can see the hi quality of the hookers @ 5 am
then on bike u are part of the scenery and feel the ground temp, mositure ect its really cool and like we say u have to look wide...... always, kinda like flying your relaxed but very attentive at the same time
its weird to describe that as relaxed but u learn it

wow just read road and track and nice shops at penske.... 6 of the 2 car all in a row and place looks just unbeleiveably clean and tidy showed the 77 office its like 8x10 lol
steve truely i think jr is burned out just like te was or they are wayway over their heads at hms and all the techno gurus there, since last summer those 2 were done they fluked out the win at MIS and then straight into the tank oooops he came up for air at daytona and caused the big one

Been lurking back here for a couple of years.Juniors been taking shots on here since he walked out on DEI.Pretty well used to it(glad you got over your fetish with the oven mitts)This particular time with the cheap juvenile finger pointing,I thought went too far.As far as Jr. being passe-not as long as anybody takes ashot at THE KYLE-it's the only defence.By the way,sounds like you're really enjoying the road trip.You do these solo or with a group?
