Logano gets the win at rain-shortened NH race
While the big news should have been Logano's first Cup victory, the biggest news seemed to have been the wreck and who's fault it was.
Most seem to put the blame clearly on Kyle Busch, including a few drivers involved in the wreck, but haven't we seen this kind of thing happen before in many races? In other races we've seen it blamed on the lead car and the car that spun it's tires, but actually isn't it just a racing deal? I mean I highly doubt that Jr. intended to spin his tires and although I'm not a fan of Busch, I highly doubt he intentionally wrecked 8 cars. Busch even apologized for what happened and accepted blame, something he usually doesn't do, even when something is clearly his fault.
Yes, drivers and fans were mad, rightly so, they got their cars tore up, but you can't put the blame solely on Busch, it was one of those racing deals, could he have lifted a bit more, probably, but still it's a racing deal. No matter, people love to hate on Busch and I'm sure he will take the brunt of the flack for the outcome.
Your thoughts?

Damn, good to see some dont mind seeing any driver take 3-4 vicious licks, then seem not to care about there well being.
With that being said I detest JJ, BUT would never want to see him or any other driver in that situation as the 18 was in. So no I dont like him but the product of getting nailed over and over I wouldnt wish on JJ and sno I wouldnt french kiss him..
Quite screwed some enjoy watching other drivers get into wrecks, but if it had been the other way around OMG lets end the day..
It was a racing deal. Dare say had the role been reversed it wouldn have happened the other way as any driver is going to block .. congrats to the 14 team and Smoke. Hats off to the 2,78, Ambrose.
I would like to thank JPM for screwing the 31 up earlier in the race and that was a Top 3 car Jeff B had last night.
Aggie, the 18 fading in the Chase? He will make the Chase, as will the 2.
Did any HMS car show up last night besides the 48?
All drivers did get released from the Care Center and some are going to sore as hell today..
Another stellar performance by the 88. Seems he did the same in the Busch Race..
Cancel the Chase for them and Lance watch your back. Just odd prior to the CC switch 88 fans were calling for Eury Jr.'s head, now that he hasnt improved it is real quiet in 88 land? Hummm

Sorry, it should have said, "....been at RCR."
Posted by: Jo Ann | Jul 5, 2009 12:43:44 AM
Barb, when the race was over, they asked Jeff B. if he was ok. He said, "I'm fine. I'm just pissed." Later, "I'm sorry I didn't get a better finish. We had a great car, the best I've had here, since I've at RCR."
Posted by: Jo Ann | Jul 5, 2009 12:40:28 AM
Congrats to Smoke and the #14 team!
One of these days ole Rowdy will learn that nothing good comes from blocking on a race track.
I hope all the guys who were in in wrecks are okay. Poor Jeff Burton looked like a ping-pong ball in that last doozy.

Thanks for the info Kari. There were some really bad hits in that wreck. Kyle took a beating. Glad the others are okay too.
Posted by: Dawn | Jul 4, 2009 11:47:17 PM
It would have been nice if the announcers had confirmed that everyone involved in that last melee was okay. A friend got a Twitter update and both Kahne and Dinger were treated and released from the care center.
Posted by: Kari | Jul 4, 2009 11:40:47 PM
When you're a dart without feathers, and you are fucking with the best in the bidness, you block him ONE time, you ain't gonna block him again......BITCH.

Congrats to Clint Bowyer, team and R.C. on
their win tonight.
Qualifying was rained out and Smoke's on the
pole again for tomorrow night at Daytona.

reason. It maybe his night.

Have a feeling she's moving her family to the lower 48... that will give her a chance to get more national exposure... so she can run for POTUS in 2012... or maybe she's one of Sanford's "close" friends... is a scandal about to break...

Sarah Palin is stepping down as Governor of Alaska... has anyone heard the reason she's doing this... shocking...
Posted by: Stewart
let me think...
is it cause she's a dumb ass from a common sense point of view who thinks everybody who disses her is a commie liberal socialist god hater muslim child molester who should die.
she wouldn't get anywhere without her make up, stripper shoes, and big goofy hey i'm a milf fuck me i mean vote for me (wink wink wink).
she took no questions cause she's above all that.
Rumors of an "iceberg scandal" have been circulating.
Palin's father, told Fox News that he thought her resignation was due to the negativity from the media.
You betcha!
via the Governor's office....
* * * * *
Hi Alaska, I appreciate speaking directly TO you, the people I serve, as your Governor.
Some say things changed for me on August 29th last year - the day John McCain tapped me
It would be apathetic to just hunker down and "go with the flow".
Nah, only dead fish "go with the flow".
A good point guard drives through a full court press, protecting the ball, keeping her eye on the basket... and she knows exactly when to pass the ball so that the team can WIN.
And I'm doing that - keeping our eye on the ball that represents sound priorities - smaller government, energy independence, national security, freedom!
And I know when it's time to pass the ball - for victory.
I cannot stand here as your Governor and allow millions upon millions of our dollars go to waste just so I can hold the title of Governor. And my children won't allow it either.
who also have enough common sense to acknowledge when conditions have drastically changed and are willing to call an audible and pass the ball when it's time so the team can win! And that is what I'm doing!
ok
so she either wants a job at fox and be able to just do it as a national media star you know makin big monies speakin and stuff and run for the presidents of america.

FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCKETY FUCK!!!
I STILL do not think that you test positive TWICE for Crystal Fucking Methamphetimine UNLESS YOU USED IT!!! JUST my humble fucking opinion.
Otherwise, WHO CARES about Mayfield. He is a NON factor because he's not gonna qualify for any races. HOPEFULLY, he won't crank out and hurt someone on the track while practicing.
I just do not see how one fails a drug test TWICE unless they were USING drugs. And don't hand me any shit about a "judge said"...because even our newest Supreme Court nonimee is not above reproach....Judges are not all knowing, any moreso than a doctor- they both "practice".
BALLS STILL SHOWING 88, 48, 14, 83, and 55

I do agree DJ, come thru the garage on a race day and give 55% a breath test and wow, wouldnt have alot of Crews.
that kinds ????????, isnt just doing a job like that enough of hi the nite beofe???

J2,
You had to right? You can take Lady Hayes and shove her right up your rectum.. Can you say spiteful, can you say DIVORCE..
You didnt address my ?, do you speak to Mrs. J2 as you do the women here?
DJ,
Sorry, no I dont and will not side with Meth Head. Does NASCAR do the random thing with ALL driver? Yes sir they do, some tested more than others. As well as the CC's and Crew. We have been tested random for a long time by our owner.
Yes I dont like JM, for the Bill Davis, Penske and Ray E thing. He assumes he is like alot of NFL players "above the law".
I am stating the point that Jeff B, Gordon, JJ, and a host of many may drivers DO not want to race with him and the suspicion of 2 failed Drug test.
The stuff I am F5, were referring to were back in the day , prior to the testing stage NASCAR has done.
I do agree DJ, come thru the garage on a race day and give 55% a breath test and wow, wouldnt have alot of Crews.
I can name a list of drivers whom get tested more than others, but thru the course of the year, most drivers have had 3 randoms done. Mine whom wouldnt do dope has 3.
DJ, man yes Jeff B has been on high horse for along time now with safety, even back in the Roush Days. So I see not a difference. I wouldnt want a Meth head, a drug addict or anything fly down the road at 55 -60 MPH near me, much less hitting 198 at Tona.
Tommy Baldwin said it best.
JM is damaged goods.
For once NASCAR got it right.
Have a good weekend on your trip DJ and you all be safe out there

the rest of you happy 4th of july :)

I'm not hating on Mayfield. This ruling is a big story in my area because my home town isn't all that far from Owensboro. There doesn't seem to be an answer to this. Nacar shouldn't be so secretive.
D. J. hope you and your family have a fun trip.
Here's wishing all of you a safe and happy 4th of July.
Aggie, you can celebrate with us, if you've finshed celebrating Canada Day.

Article on thatsracin.com titled Mayfield
hasn't joined in debate - or race at Daytona
This is just a quote from Mark Martin in the
article.
This is what Mark Martin had to say about
Jeremy Mayfield. "I'm comfortable with being
on the race track with Jeremy Mayfield 100
percent", said Mark Martin. "I feel that
NASCAR needs to have the authority to say
whether or not that you drive. "I don't know
anything about judges".
Posted by: Dottie | Jul 3, 2009 12:33:56 AM
Jo Ann......nah he wasn't throwing him under the bus.But he was not giving him the red carpet either, and I suppose that is fair. But I liked Carl's approach by not siding one way or the other becuase as he says,it's speculation and untill the facts come out.......
Anyway....ya'll take care,be safe and have a happy 4th.Heading to the beach for a week.So hate on Mayfield all you want and I won't come to his defense!LOL!!
My balls again.....42,24,6,26,88.....
Posted by: DJ | Jul 2, 2009 11:39:27 PM
How exactly are people picked for the test? We have random testing where I work at. A outside company randomly picks who gets tested and notifies the company. Doesn't matter how important you are to the company as the testing is part of the Workers Compensation program. It is out of the company's hands at that point.
Posted by: 68 ss camaro | Jul 2, 2009 11:29:07 PM
Here's what some of the drivers had to say today. I don't think Jeff Burton is throwing Jeremy under the bus. These drivers didn't walk up to the media and start talking about it. They were asked by the media.

Posted by: Jo Ann | Jul 2, 2009 9:53:52 PM
68...agree and don't expect drivers or crews to be saints.I'm not!LOL!My point is if it is happening all around then the spitting on Mayfield by the majority of folks is like a double standard from those just hating on him for his past or thinking he is a meth head and safety is being jeopardized by letting him race....In all my years of watching racing I can't recall someone be it media or driver or whoever...say "man he must be a drugs for that move" or "he is compromising safety by driving like a maniac"......can ya'll???
So all these folks are flying under the radar??Or is Nascrap selective on who they go after?I'd say yes to both and if that ain't a double standard I don't know what is......
Is it safty or safety?
Posted by: DJ | Jul 2, 2009 9:28:48 PM
As many people as there are working in NASCAR, either at the track or behind the scenes. They all can't be "saints" and i'm sure more then a few have drug and or alcohol problems. I'm actually amazed so few have been busted so far. Or has there been more?
Posted by: 68 ss camaro | Jul 2, 2009 9:12:38 PM
D2 and F5......If you know of drivers/cc's that are coke or pot heads and I'm sure there has been a time or 50 when a driver was hungover or even pit guys....isn't it a double standard for you to throw Mayfield under the bus without knowing ALL the facts, when it sounds like there is plenty of folks doing the same calibur stuff and compromising safty?
Isn't it a double standard then for those lambasting Mayfield that are now aware that this crap goes on based on what you are saying?I mean if all this is going on then SAFTY,which Burton is on his high horse and others against Mayfield, safty is getting compromised all the time with others not just Mayfield? The way I see it based on what you guys have seen and see....then it seems to be a major double standard going on here....IMO,what you are saying is that all kind of crap is going on under Nascar's watchful eye and it is being over-looked maybe because of who the guilty parties are?Sounds to me like they need to test more than Jeremy......If I'm wrong then shame on me but seems to be alot of quick judgement on the dude based on his past with Ray and Penske and maybe his wife!LOL!
I know JM will have a hard time finding sponsors with all this....but if it was I,and I had a start up company or some funky company...I'd be all over his car, cause you know, even if he is a back marker, the TV and media will be all on him and his ride.....
Posted by: DJ | Jul 2, 2009 8:42:22 PM
Jon2...IMHO it was way out of line for Lady Hayes to post that type of info on this blog... anyone could come on here & make slanderous comments about you, me or anyone of the bloggers solely for the fun of it... we could be accused of rape, abuse or theft... even if we defended ourselves over & over some people would believe those accusations... so without proof from Lady Hayes I don't think we should believe what she said...
FYI... this type of thing actually happened to me on another blog last year... a guy accused me of stealing from him in a bar... I was never in that bar... but I had to leave the blog because other bloggers believed him & gave me a hard time... it was a painful experience...
Posted by: Stewart | Jul 2, 2009 8:30:57 PM
Uh K2, treating ladies right. Wasn't there a Lady Hayes commenting about a certain you know, yeah you know who, who related to what was it....something to do with financial....physical (hum)....scam artist.
The lady bloggers pretty much know the give and take on the blogosphere. So don't run out your I'm a champion of the ladies routine in light of........and then try to hide behind a skirt.

Hello FS,
Once again you dont know your ass from your hand.
Meth Head DID NOT PLACE ON THE FORM when he consented a damn thing on ADDERALL.. Adderall and Clartin D DO NOT EQUAL METH.
PLease ask around, Gretch? am I correct, you have Poilce friends and I have a shitload of NC Trooper friends , I asked. There is not way of a fasle postive of those mixing.
You defended Big Mo Money, in a BS lawsuit, now you are on your knees to Meth Head? Damn takes all kinds.. You must be a ACLU card caring member.
Glad the SOb did show up to race.Yeah I can hear it know "lets draft with the Meth Head". Not going to happen.
He is damaged goods and has been well before this drug issue.
In ref. to your METHPROFILE?
WRONG J2 , its not low income only, its not a black and white. Its cheap.
Please review the stats for the Midwest on meth usuage.
JM, is not billionare nor a mllionare ashe portrays himself.Triad Tech i owed 76k by him, he doent pay his bills. Heard he will be here Sat night.
Last but not least, glad to see you are still a asshole to women. I dont need to or have to defend her, she would beat your stupid ass from Randleman to the Indy Line. True class J2, i hope you dont treat Mrs J2 like his, if so I hope she beats the shit out of you one night in bed with a frying pan:
"Let me get this straight, you're more upset I recite the profile of these losers, or shouldn't you be more upset about the damage they bring to society? Sounds to me as if you're defending your cousin.

F5,
thank you for below:
"If you guys only knew what goes on in Nascar, I had a driver and crew chief wyho will remain anonomys who could have blown a .24..."
There are many drivers antics that if ever came to light they would be blown away.
There is a "list" of them boys and CC's, and scary one of the retired ones was a Pot Head.. The other CC in another series a "coc" head.
Be good, and safe all of you.

Jon2... did you bother to read exile's post at 4:16 pm?... Didn't that information sink into your thick head?... even if Mayfield wasn't on meth, he shouldn't have been racing while taking Adderall... and why didn't he get the Adderall script from his regular doctor instead of some spa?...
Dawn & Kari... I appreciate your common sense approach to these discussions...

Brand Names: Adderall, Adderall XR
"Amphetamine and dextroamphetamine can cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions.
Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert."
Before taking amphetamine and dextroamphetamine, tell your doctor if you are using any of the following drugs:
cold or allergy medicines (antihistamines)
In Monday's filing, NASCAR claimed Mayfield provided a prescription for Adderall that he received from the "Vitality Anti-Aging Center & Medical Spa" in Hickory, and not his personal physician.
hey
don't drive over 185 if you're taking adderall.
hey
don't mix it with allergy meds without your doctor's advice or the guy at a local botox clinic.
hey
jack up everybody you come into contact with during your career and sue them when they want to get you out of their org.

As you've done so many times with DJ's posts, you've proven you can't read and actually comprehend what someone is saying, J2. There's a difference between the words you used in describing the "profile" of a meth user in your most recent post and the words you used in your previous posts. Thanks for reminding me why I don't usually bother conversing with you.
Michael,
Thank you. What you wrote is EXACTLY what I was saying.
Enough about this subject from me. It's obvious I was commenting without knowing enough about the entire situation so I apologize for that. I just hope to hell that Jeremy Mayfield was not and is not a drug user. If that's the case, I hope he can salvage something (and the end result is a coherent and fair drug policy in Nascar), but if it's not, God help him.
