Busch wins Bristol
Kyle Busch ended his slump of bad luck with a win at Bristol, holding off Mark Martin.
Martin led the most laps but came in second. He actually did get alongside Busch, but got a little loose and being the gentleman racer he is, he backed off so as not to wreck both of them out. I've seen Martin save loose cars before, so I have to wonder what would have happened if he had kept pushing hard instead of backing off, could he have gotten by Busch or would Busch still have won?
The double-file restarts didn't pose huge problems like some thought it would. I think that if the track hadn't been repaved, adding the second groove, it would have added a lot of carnage, but it really didn't add any additional problems.
The win and problems with others, keeps Busch within reach of the Chase, although as of now he is still out. He does still have to worry about how Kenseth does and also Vickers, who is only 5 points behind Busch.
Your thoughts?

Great race. I know some people hate Bristol now that it's been repaved but I love it. Seeing Mark and Kyle being able to race side by side for the lead for several laps was great. It's much better than the single file, bump someone out of the way to pass them style that Bristol was before it was repaved.
Tough luck for Montoya. He was in the top 10 all night until that flat tire. I hope that doesn't cost him a spot in the chase. Kasey finished 28th and now he has to sweat a lot these last two races. I think that Bowyer's chances are pretty much over. I don't see him making up any points next week at Atlanta so he had to have a great night last night and hope that others had problems. Even if he wins Richmond, I still don't think that will be enough. Hard to believe that there won't be a single RCR car in the chase.
Smoke had a really weird night in that he just wasn't any good at all at any point of the race. Ambrose in 3rd was a big surprise. I know he's talented but 3rd at Bristol in just his second start there. Some guys never get Bristol figured out and he already has it figured out. Scott Speed finished 15th, which I think is his best finish of the year if I'm not mistaken, not counting the crap shoot that is Talladega.

Kudos to the 18 Crew, Kyle and Addman on a great race last night.
Hats off to MM for stating "the 18 raced him clean and gave him room to pass". Kyle knew MM wouldnt dump him and its known no one will dump Mark M.
The 2- Damn good car all night, then BOOM. THE WRECK( going there in a few mins.). Pat, Kurt and the guys did a hell of a job getting back to 7th place. Keep it up guys.
The 47- What a night. You keep making those around you smile. You are a true talent that is coming on. Brad D made a great hire. Watch out for Mr. Ambrose.
The wreck:
From standing there and every replay on the box it was obvious whom started it. Almost choked when I got in this AM and hit the DVR and went to it. Petree and the booth attempted to blame someone else at first. Then got it right, but wouldnt point blank say, it was the 48 whom had it begin. he hit Smoke, then the 07 checked up.
This is not the only time last night , then, when the 48 was leading, or in the top 10 he was hitting folks. he hit the 78 counteless times, and many more cars.
See I was PC and wasnt a namecaller. So why cant it be called the way it happened? Is it because it JJ and the 48?
On the botched stop, I usally wont defend many from this team, but that was not Mike A's fault. Its conveient to blame the tire changer but in fact the jackman missed the cadence.
Brad K to Penske. Logical, said it was coming. SHR and JR Motorsports cant come up in the times of $$$ right now. I see him and Kurt doing very well next year.
