Wow! What an ending!
Congrats to McMurray for the win, he was at the right place at the right time when the final caution flew.
Dega has always brought us the big one, but this time we got two of them within a couple of laps of each other. The first came when Newman got flipped and landed on top of Harvicks car. There were a lot of tense moments for fans during that red flag, saying Newman was OK, but it seemed to take forever for them to get the car turned back over and get him out. What did he think? Well, he puts it all on NASCAR and you really can't blame him. I mean how many times are they gonna change the restrictor plates to make the races "safer" and then things like this happen? I wouldn't be surprised if there are changes made again using NASCAR's wisdom.
The second big one had Mark Martin flipping, although he didn't flip over and over again like Newman and actually landed right side up. Mark tried to be good natured in his interview and laugh it off saying it's the way it is in racing, but you could tell he wasn't happy.
Unfortunately for Mark, Johnson lucked out and didn't get caught up in anything and although he didn't win, he increased his points lead over Mark. Like I said before, unless something happens, which it didn't, Johnson would probably win the championship again.

Danica's going where the money is and that's NASCAR. The huge money is in F1 but they don't want her. She will make a lot of money in NASCAR, but her career there will be unmemorable.

yes Dot,agree.....if you are hating on Danika...what is the difference in her than say a Colon Brown,Justin Tailgater,or Brad Kolonscopy???I mean...pretty boys...pretty girl....can drive a car ect....I mean if she does time in ARCA and Nationwide...she will probly do better than JJ as he has tried trucks and well I suppose the chassy and tires were bad....ARCA?Nah...too many that would give one rat's toot about her....Oh yeah,he did get a win in the 92 Exedrin car on Fuel....But then JG put him in good stuff and he blossemed.Wonder what he did for JG to get that shot?

Danica's original asking price when shopping her 'assets' around the Nationwide garage was $300,000 per race. Now that's attitude I admire - My 'girls' are worth this much.
Big Rick and Junior got themselves a hot commodity in that little package. Got GoDaddy to go with MM #5 in 2010. Big Rick is a marketing genius.

It'll be great when Danica starts promoting the sport. Nationwide attendance will soar. This will definitely be a marketing coup for NASCAR.
Some say she helped to save the IRL.
'course, there is the talent aspect. Her only IRL win was a fuel deal.
It'll be fun watching Danica wrassle an almost full sized 3thou lb+ car for 300 miles around a track against 40 guys who want to beat you bad. Ya gotta admit, maintaing three+ hours of concentration with an endurance factor to boot is a lot different than a six second ride down a straight line. Anyway, it'll be fun.
1-2-3 potential HMS finish in standings. Will be a first.

My 2 bits on the state of Nascar...in the words of Dale Earnhardt Sr "That's a sorry excuse for racing...Let 'em Tie kerosine soaked rags to their ankles to keep the ants fromm eatin' their candy ass"...I have heard Ryan say they (Nascar Braintrust) Trusted Petty, Pearson, and the Allisons but they don't trust us...well no shit Sherlock(Not a shot at Ryan) most of these drivers have NEVER had to drive a Heavy stock car without Power steering much less learn the art of bump drafting! and Nascar says they are NOT to blame...Yeah Right...This "Chase" is a farce, If the Twins, Vikings, Wild, Panthers, or Canes aren't in it WHY watch?...DON'T tell the NON CHASE drivers not to race the "Chasers" so hard...Shit I' get up there and rattle his cage and get in his head...Clearly there as much rivalry as a box of Nilla Wafers! at Least when Jeff was winning he was dogging Dale Sr's records...SO like the Stankee's Phillies series I may watch a couple innings but I'm not gonna waste that much time wathing a parade!

Yes, it is up to the drivers to control their cars, but just like on the road, you have to watch out for the other guy!! My first thought when they annouced yet another stupid rule change was that just because Jimmie Johnson can't bump-draft and has caused more than one wreck trying, NASCAR changes yet another rule. I, as many others, am losing interest in the races because I'm tired of seeing Hendrick buying championships..I'll be doing something else this Sunday. Hope the advertisers aren't paying too much for time on NASCAR races anymore, because it appears many people feel the same as me.

Man did I hate this race - I should have known from the interview Dale Jarrett did with Dale Jr on warm up lap and he asked how he liked the new rules and JR said -"they are like taking a NFL team and telling them it's now 2 touch flag football game" or close to that- I knew something bad was about to happen- and yup, it did!
So glad Ryan walked away, except it took quite awhile - and agreed with what he said and glad Mark was okay, just not the points hit they all take- JJ most have sold his sole to the devil - nothing sticks - but it does stink.
