Let's go racin!!!
It was a long off season for me, too long and I'm looking forward to the Shootout this weekend and the 500 next weekend!
Although I wasn't posting, I was still following all the news during the off season and I was surprised about all the rule changes. Some good and some don't make any sense to me, but I'm just a fan. I'm hoping all this winter weather everyone has been having won't affect the beginning of the season too much.
Since there were a ton of rule changes, I wont' list them all, but pose this question to all my readers....
Which rule change surprised you the most?

Welcome back Kathy! I have been keeping up with all of the changes too and there are some good and some that just leave me scratching my head as well. I have to say that the relaxing of the bump drafting sort of surprised me the most, well that and the change of the Shootout eligibility rules. Anyhow, it is good to have you back and let's hope for a better racing season than we had last year.

Relaxing the bump drafting shocked me the most. I mean, there are so many drivers that cry about the bumping ( and the ones that do are some of the sport's stars )I was really surprised to hear they are relaxing on it. I hope the switch to a spoiler will make the racing better.
Daytona will not be a good measure of whether the competitiveness will be better though. It's a crap shoot plate race and my 2nd favorite track ( after Dega). Can't wait for the Shootout, and I can take at least some comfort in knowing without a doubt that Jimmie will not win both of those Duels, LOL.
I am stoked about the new season. Looking forward to arguing with my dad about Kyle ( who he LOVES ), and jon2 about Jimmie ( What if he wins 5 in a row, damn) hoping that this year is better for RCR, and God knows I hope the 88 wins at least ONE damn race this year!
