2 2 go!

One of my Facebook friends said it best, "Two races to go! So funny how in November you just want it over,and in Febuary (yes he should have just abbreveiated) it cant get here fast enough!" - Mark Schmuck.
Truer words are rarely spoken in NASCAR. It's a very demanding sport where one week off feels like a month long vacation, but ten races in a row feels like a prison sentence.
With 2 2 go, I'm reluctantly looking forward to some time off to recharge. A nice break after Thanksgiving is going to be welcomed, but shortly after the turkey sandwiches and the pecan pies are all gone, I'll be jonesing for some brake dust and pit road snacks.
There's 2 2 go and the Championship points spread is a little tighter, but I don't think even Sam Hornish will be able to keep Jimmie Johnson from winning four championship titles in a row, but at least it will be a little more interesting now.
Lastly, speaking of 2 2 go...
Congratulations to Kurt Busch and all the number 2 Miller Lite guys for big Texas win! It's always good to see that team do well. Considering their crew chief, Pat Tryson, is headed to MWR in 2010 to head up Truex's new team, I think their win wasn't just a victory, but a statement.
Nice job guys.... You can have Ray bring over my Miller Lite in Phoenix.

DT what is your plan for next year, will you still be with the 1 team and whoever they put in the car?

As a fan who goes to about eight races a year I can understand how you feel. After our last trip to Martinsville we all felt like it had been a long year. You guys must be exhausted. So as a fan I just want to say thank you to you and all the crew guys and everyone else who sacrifice so much so guys like me can sit back and enjoy the racing every week.
And of course like your friend said, the next comment after talking about the long season was--So what day are we leaving for the Daytona 500?

Shoot, I'm worn out after just one race, can't imagine going to all of them and doing the work yall do and as Peter said, We do appreciate it, thanks for giving up your weekends for us!
It was a great win for Kurt, glad for Tryson, I think he'll be much happier with Truex, just saying! :)
Hope Addington lands in a good place, he's a great CC....
And yes, are you staying put or are you moving elsewhere come 2010?
