Paintball War
I got a call about ten minutes before our plane left from Charlotte to California. It was Matt B. our crew chief. He said, "Trent, by the way, we got a deal set up at 4 o'clock to play some paint ball so tell the guys to be at the hotel lobby by 3:30". OK, couple of problems here Matt, first off we had no idea that we were gonna play paintball so most of the guys had only one change of cloths. Second, we get into LA at about 1 or so and its a good hour to hour and a half to the hotel. So at best we are barely gonna make it. The bus load voted 5 to 2 not to play paintball and go into LA for the afternoon instead. So that brings me to the paintball game that was played by the guys on the road. I think there was about 12 of them that played Saturday afternoon. When the whole team met up on Sunday morning to go to the track it was like a group of vets getting together talking about there stories. All the guys were circled around a table comparing battle wounds. It was kind of funny hearing about all the stories that were being told. One of the guys helping with the motor tuning for the weekend looked like he had been peppered across the arm about 15 times. Swell marks about the size of a quarter. Then there were the legs. everyone had a slower walk than usual Sunday. I think a couple of em took some shots to the legs pretty hard. I know Ryan did cause he had a hard time stretching before the race. All in all the guys said it was an awesome time playing and they we had to do it with em next time.

I wondered how that paintball deal went when I saw Ryan talk about it on TV.
So, no Playboy Mansion, huh? :)

Well Stephanie, we were heading that way and i got side tracked into a casino to play some poker. The other guys ended up in down town LA. We hadnt gotten in for three years in a row so we figured we'd use our time more wisely this year

so what was better.....all the paintball guys sitting around telling their war stories or all of you guys that played poker sitting around talking about your bad beats?

I liked hearing about the paintball stories, but i think my bad beat story was better. Hit a river club to give me the nut flush on a 300 dollar pot. I won that one and got up and left. Getting my %$# chewed the whole way out by all the guys at the table. Sorry fellas, thats what you get for picking on the tourist.
