Pit Crew Challenge

    For the past few weeks all the teams that are eligible for the pit crew competition have been over to the facility to set a time for there qualifying position.  Each team did 3 stops, you took the best of your three and that is your qualifying time.  All the qualifying does is help set the order of who you will go up against Monday night in the competition.  Our teams over here at Penske Racing qualified like this:  2car-24th, 12car-2nd, 77car-21st.  There are a total of 40 team in the competition.  30 cup teams and 10 busch.  The Challenge will be this Monday night in Mooresville at the PIT Facility.  It should be a pretty cool deal.  They have stands set up on the pit road area so that fans can see what happens up close during a pit stop.  In order to win the whole thing you have to win four rounds.  After each round they eliminate teams.  The winner of the competition gets 200,000 dollars.  Its more for bragging rights than money.  You want to be the best on pit road and this is one way to prove it.  I'll let everyone know on Tuesday how the teams did.
