A real athlete
The only good thing to come out of the race Sunday was getting to meet Shannon Sharpe. Shannon was the grand Marshall for the race and came down pit road to throw football with us before the race started. If anyone doesn't know, he is considered to be one of the best tight ends to play in the NFL. He won two Superbowl's, one with the Denver Broncos and another with the Baltimore Ravens. He has since retired and is now working in the broadcasting booth. We got a group picture with him before he left so I thought I would put it on here for everyone to see.
Back row: Ben Brown (changer), Micheal "Meat" Warren (carrier), Shannon Sharpe, Nascar Nation chick, Topher (Mechanic), Dennis "Buffet" Terry (changer)
Front Row: Rodney "redneck" Eldridge (tire guy), Me, Jerry "jun bug" Moody, (mechanic), Britt Goodrich (jackman).
You always here me talk about these guys so now you can put a face with a name.

Cool picture...guess it's just a matter of time until someone logs in here and shreds Ryan because it's the 12 crew with Sharpe and not the 2 crew...I'm sure that's Ryan's fault too becasue he's so arrogant and not a team player blah, blah, blah...(sarcasm)
Good luck at Michigan, Trent. No fair-weather fans here. We're behind the you guys all the way and know you will rebound.

BTW - coincedence that you are standing in front of the 2 car with the 97 on the big screen? I think not!!!

Thanks for sharing, Trent. I'm sure that was fun for you guys! I still think its a bonus you share pictures with us. But did you forget about George? He's there, too!

Damn that's good. I saw that they were in front of the 2 car, but I didn't see the 97 on the Nextel Vision.

Glad you did have some fun at the Glen.
It has been a good year for "Gentlemen Start Your Ennginnes". Shannon did a good job. I got a kick out of him telling a bunch of standing people to git-up!
Let's have 3 good finishes this week!

Trent, not to be a weinie but...Shannon Sharpe has won 3 superbowls. Two with Denver when they went back to back over Green Bay & Atlanta and another with Baltimore when they beat NY Giants. But it was cool you met him.

Trent,
Don't you think Newman would make a great frankenstein for halloween? All he has to do is put a couple of those frankenstein posts on his neck and boom, he's FRANK.

Trent..Don't short change yourself man! It takes some big "Kahuna's" to go over that wall. Every time you guys do it's 4th and 1 with 13 seconds on the clock. Athelete's??
I think so
I had the priveledge of being in the Petty pits at Atlanta back in 1989 when cars came down pit road at 150 mph. It was a weekend I'll never forget. Talk about no glory and all guts, those guy's had plenty!
Awsome man! Glad they slowed them down though. Life's too short to be flattened on pit road...

Nice pic. Nice to see you all together. Now when I watch the race I will know who is who.
I haven't been to a race yet but when I do get to go...watch out!!!! We hope to be able to go next summer and since Michingan is so close it will probably be that track.
Good luck Sunday at Michigan, I'm pullin for ya's!!! :)
