« Introducing DEI's Dennis Terry | Main | It's Daytona and, yes, it IS a big deal »
My buddy DT is joining us, and I got the flu
Well I guess its official now, Dennis "Buffet" Terry is joing the blog. I wanted to take a second and welcome DT to the site. Im sure a lot of you guys out there are sick of hearing me talk about Ryan and Penske Racing South. Now you have some one else to help fill your racing needs. I worked with DT for about 4 years and have remained good friends with him. He'll do a good job on here im sure and I hope all the readers out there welcome him. Now on too some serious news, I have come down with the flu. No &^%$, Im serious this time. I just got back from the Urgent Care and they had to pump me up with an IV and a shot in the ***. Ive felt like crap for days now and I just hope it all turns around before 6 am tomorow, that s when the plane leaves. My wife says im just a big cry baby and that the trip to the Urgent Care wasnt all that neccisary. Here is the one thing she s missing. I got less than 24 hours and I got to be on a plane going to Daytona to race. Its not like I can just sit at home and take a sick day. Ive never missed a race since I started and tomorow isnt going to be the first. Man I hope I start feeling better. The Doc said she gave me some real good stuff and hopefully it will start working by tonight. I hope so, there is no worse feeling than being on a plane with the flu. OK, Im going back to bed so you guys enjoy DT and hopefully we ll have a good race tomorow.

I hope you get feeling better Trent. This time last year I was down with a vicious flu as well. Get a lot of rest and drink plenty of fluids. Oh, and from my own personal experience, men in general get their whiniest when they're sick...lol.
Good luck tomorrow and get well soon!

Having the flu is not the best way to start the season...hope you're feeling better by morning. Take care, Trent! (And I'll agree with Mandy's post! lol)
Good luck to Ryan and the whole 12 team tomorrow and on Sunday!

Probably ought to stop biting your nails, or at least wash your hands really well before you start gnawing on them. ;)

Trent,
Well thank heaven you didn't "Break a nail!"
Who knows where Ann and Mandy24 would have gone with that one!
Posted by: Keith | Feb 16, 2006 5:23:45 PM
Hey Trent
Ouch. Shots in the butt are the worst. Hope you are feeling better!
Good luck this weekend!

LMBO @ Keith...you do have a point. Members of the female sex have been known to complain about a "broken nail". Not this chicka though...LOL. I was just going off personal experience. My husband turns into a big baby when he's sick...lol. It's a fact and he can acknowledge it.
