Visiting Victory Junction Gang tonight
I know its been a while since my last post so I apologize for that. I'm sure some of you didn't miss me, but I sure missed you. Any ways I thought I would let everyone know what's going on tonight. Over that last couple of years our team has always tried to do something with in the community that could help make a difference. Tonight the 12 team is heading up to the Victory Junction Gang Camp. The camp was started by the Petty family and has been running for a couple of years now. Ive never been, but I heard its unbelievable. The camp is for kids that are ill. Each week they get a new crop of kids that come up there and the whole week is filled with activities and fun stuff that most of the kids never get to experience. Tonight we will be doing a bunch of pit stops and having dinner with all the kids. They do this a couple of times a summer so its cool to be part of it. Not only is our pit crew going but we have a lot of the guys in the shop that are going up with us. Its something that hopefully will make a difference in some of the kids and hopefully they ll have a good time with it. I'm gonna try and get some pictures and post them when I get back so keep checking back. That's it for now.

Hey Trent -- remember when you rated Kasey Kahne in your list of most overrated drivers? So far this year he's got 4 poles (5 counting the All-Star) and 4 wins. Guess you were dead wrong about that one, huh? Jackass.

We missed you too TC. Good job with Victory Junction stuff that shows a lot of class and selflessness by the 12 crew.
Good luck in Sonoma, hopefully you'll get another strong finish.

So trent comes on here with a cool post about the VJG and how great of a thing that is and you somehow manage to segway that into Kahne, Dodge, Trent being wrong and him being a Jackass? Wow dude you should probably get those anger issues fixed.
...and PS Kahne is overrated. The boy has won 5 races in his career and the majority of them came with the exact same car. How about let's wait and see what the future holds before we start electing him the greatest thing since taco bell huh?

So, is Ryan going, or just his employees?

YEA,
Like TJ said!
TJ, Go Penske is just like all the ignorant uneducated Nascar fans all over the world who like the "flavor of the week" and have no direction. They can invisibly log onto to this wonderful blog and pull out a brain cell or two of pure stupidity. Then, their mom calls to them,"Honey buns, it's time for dinner!" "Be right there mommy" would be Go Penske's reply.
After dinner mom tells him to take out the trash but he is dying to get back on line and spew his immature writings to feed his ego because he is safe in his "no one will ever know it's me" and I can tell all my Dungeon's and Dragon's club members how cool I am for slamming Trent!
GET A LIFE PLEASE.....................

The overrated comment was for the 05 season, and yes he was for last year. If your gonna dig into last years post then there are alot of other things you can find. Keep looking. As far as Ryan going Im not sure. I let him know kind of late and I dont know if he has other obligations going on or not.

Hey Trent - we missed seeing you Sunday morning in the pit before the race, but it was nice to meet some of the new team members. Kudos to the 12 team for giving of your time to visit the camp! I'm sure the kids will enjoy the time you guys share with them! Look forward to seeing your pictures.

I hope that you all enjoy the trip to the camp. Good for you guys in taking the time to make some kids happy.

Enjoy the trip to the camp. It's good to go to places like that and watch those kids. To see how happy those kids are when they can just act normal is awesome. It makes running like shit at the track or having a bad day at work seem less important. For the Petty's to build that camp and have many people in the NASCAR community step up and donate to the VJG is great. Even a-holes like Kurt Busch step up and donate a ton of money. Have fun and don't get to pissed when the kids catch more fish than you Trent.

By the way, Go Penske needs to remove his head from his ass.

There's more to this race team than just racing. Enjoy the kids tonight -- it's a great thing you guys are doing.

TJ -- Kahne has won five races, four of which were in the same car...and THAT makes him overrated?? That's a brilliant remark. What does the fact that it's been the same car have to do with anything? Would you say that Newman is overrated since at least half of his career wins have been fuel mileage victories?

"Be right there mommy." Goddamn, that was pretty funny. But, back to the post. Good job going to see and spend time with the kids.

And again, it's good to have you back!!!!

TY for you insightful question filled reply Miller
If Evernham MS cannot duplicate that car Mr Kahne will be back to finishing a consistent 15th every race. All drivers have certain cars in their stable that gets them to good finishes. Unfortunately Kahne just has one apparently and the rest of them are garbage just like Mayfield drives.
My issue with Kahne is before he has even earned anything people want to make him into the next JG after only 5 wins.
Newman is not overrated, I don't even consider him rated. He has won a good number of races and had consistent finishes up until this season though. Newman was never talked about that much until he started winning races. Kahne was annointed to the next big thing the first time he finished 2nd. Most of the time we award success to drivers when they have achieved something, Kahne gets attention for 'future' success, all I hear about is what he is going to do. I don't know about you Miller but I can't predict the future.

It is too bad that some people can not for one day just post a happy thought about the 12 team doing a great thing at Victory Junction Gang Camp. Just for one day can't you stop the nasty blogs and think with your heart instead of your ass. Way to go Trent and all of the 12 team. You will have a great time with the kids and come away with memories of a lifetime. I am sure if Ryan does not have other obligations that he will be there also. Look forward to the pictures and Welcome Back.

I glad to hear that you went to Victory Junction Camp last night. My son is actually at VJC this week and I know how much it means to him to be able to go to a camp and act like a normal kid and forget all his medical conditions and hospitals. God Bless all the people that volunteer at VJC!
