CRAZY Juan!
By: Dennis Terry
My new gig as front tire changer for the Michael Waltrip Racing 00 team is going good. Since getting the boot from Joe Gibbs, I have gelled well with my new pit crew and we had a great Richmond race finishing 13th.
The only pit road issues that we had was from ol' Juan Pablo Montoya. It seems that Juan is becoming a regular subject on this blog and along pit road as other teams deal with his pit road recklessness.
On the third stop of the day Juan tried to drive over our pit crew "brushing" our jackman, me and my front carrier. I know, "rubbing is racing" and "brushing is”... well, you can insert your favorite metaphor that starts with a "B" there.
At any rate, having that crazy Columbian drive the side of his 3,500 lb race car down the back of your ass at 45 miles per hour gets a little distracting when you are trying to earn a living changing tires.
Needless to say, Juan’s mid race barbecue meant that our pit crew got to do our jobs with a little less concern about broken bones and brain damage AND we were all able to make it home to our families after work.
I hope that whichever team is pitting behind CRAZY Juan in New Hampshire is just as fortunate!

The talk is ol' juan is fast and he just needs alittle more seat time. The way i see it' He thinks now that he has fenders he can do what ever he wants. don't care for him much and hope all pit crews and drivers keep a eye out for him..

DT,
Why don't you guys just beat his ass? That stupid asshole is going to kill someone, by then it will be too late. If you get fired for beating the shit out of him, you can come and work on our farm.

I saw his rantings on tv after a race one night. He needs an attitude adjustment soon. Does he want to be another Kyle Busch, booed by all and loved by none. If he wants to rub paint, then thy shall rub paint, give him what he comes for.

Dennis, where are NASCAR's eyes when JPM
is doing all of this on pit road?
When watching a race, if JPM gets close
to my driver, I am on edge thinking he
is going to cause a wreck and include my
driver. JPM has a lot of talent but he is
reckless on pit road and on the track.
Maybe, NASCAR needs to have a talk with
him before someone gets injured or killed.

Dennis,
The best line I can think of about Chip Ganassi Racing in general is: "What silly s.o.b. is in charge of this operation?" From the movie "Patton"
I wonder how much "Columbian" he smoked before he climbed in that racecar???
Think you could get Dr.Petty to prescribe him a 24 hour enema??? And flush his ass back to Columbia?
LOL

They kept telling us, Juan this and Juan that. He's going to take Nascar car to a new level. Just listen to him during a interview. He don't care. Yes I say send his cholo ass back where you found him Chip!

Glad to hear your enjoying MWR!...I can see it now! There's Dennis Terry front tire changer for MWR, Can change those tires with his own bare hands he can, He's a tire changing MoFo...BUT give him just one GOAT...

mwr is a cheating team so who cares about what happens, or is cheating racing now to.nascar is full of cheating, and they are the worst of them all.

Thats why they issued you guys helmets because it is dangerous out there. So many other stock car drivers flip and actually knocked a guys down and even out with their cars causing nascar to issue helmets but if Montoya brushes up against somebody oh my god we have a situation here! It's a dangerous job and i respect the guys that risk their lives out there. But if youre going to be whining about it and cant handle it then quit! Maybe if you focused on your driver and his car he'll probably get a top 30 finish. I seen a guy get hit and got back up finished his duty and then collapse. He did his job and he was dedicated. And he didnt whine about it. If you should be mad at a driver be mad at Greg Biffle, he about killed your driver at California with a stupid move that even Dale sr wouldnt of done. By the way Your poster boy Jeff Gordon wrecked more than juan in his rookie year but i think it's because he's on outsider and you back yard boys are threaten by. Cant wait til the other open wheelers come and stir up some shit so you boys can whine about that. And as for beating juans ass unless you follow all racing instead of nascar you would know that juan can dish it out. He grew up in the ghetto while you were in the sticks trying to work on kissing technics with your sister. You whiners make me sick. Go Tony Stewart! Smoke is the man!

Obviously Louie hasn't had a 3400 pound car brush him at 45.....anyway, glad to see you're doing well with the new team and that kid can drive a car. Hey, I'll be out on the Daughtry tour, I don't start till Australia on the 20th but maybe I'll see ya sometime in the next few months.
Posted by: Spike | Sep 12, 2007 10:38:08 PM
HEY LOUIE
Did brian put you up to that?
Posted by: bill | Sep 12, 2007 10:38:26 PM
Wow Louie
Why dont you tell us how you really feel. Trust me when your out there you only have one thing in mind and thats doing your job. When you feel a car brush you or even you see them come close to you out of the corner of your eye it will bother you.
Now if a driver has done this to many crews and then did it to me i would be very pissed. I probably would say something to that driver or even on here because word needs to get out about the idiot.
DT glad to hear that your working again. Stay safe.

No harm no foul...Isn't it NASCARs job to call it?
Posted by: Keith | Sep 13, 2007 12:27:52 AM
It's Colombian, not Columbian. No wonder you change tires for a living. If you are going to publish a blog, may I suggest you purchase and read a style and grammar handbook.

Denny, I feel you on ol Juan. You can't help but be happy when he wrecks because then you know people are alot safer. I imgine one day he will be good after all in some ways he IS a "rookie" Maybe he is just not used to actually racing side by side or having more than his car to look after on pit road? I don't get his deal however I am just waiting for someone to just beat his ass or get n his face again. Be safe.

I have been reading these comments and one thing NASCAR fans have in common is terrible command of the English language. Anyway, all rookies crash and burn. Its called a learning curve. Most NASCAR fans dislike Montoya because he isn't from the U.S. Big deal. Take a look at 99% of the crap you own, it's not from the U.S. either! He's a good driver who will win races. Seems everything he does gets attention because his whole season has been under a microscope. No one says anything when he's taken out, like last week when he was clipped from behind. Dennis, get on with your job and stop crying. If you can't take the heat then get out of the kitchen. Are you going to write another whiney blog when a different driver gets close to you. Hopefully it will be Montoya and he doesn't miss!

DT, I'm glad you and the 00 team are okay. If 42 other drivers can avoid the crews, why can't JPM?
Posted by: ss | Sep 13, 2007 7:13:04 AM
I truly hope nobody gets hurt, but Juan's not the first guy to brush a crewman. It happens at just about every race. Plus this is all new to him. I would think however he would seek you guys out after the race and offer an apology and a beer.
Posted by: Rich | Sep 13, 2007 7:13:31 AM
Please.....pit road is dangerous, it would be safe to say at just about every race someone gets breezed on pit road, it is irresponsible of you to call out one driver, maybe a little racist, I don't think NASCAR would appove you calling out their "diversity" driver a/k/a money maker. Plus with your team you aren't at half the races, so be grateful you earned a paycheck last week. DT, get a life....if it's too hot in the kitchen get out....

Good lord. This JPM crap is out of control. I had high hopes when he came to Nascar that the new blood would shake things up some. Seems the only thing he's shook up is the pit crews. They've got enough stress without a lunatic loose on pit road.
Keep your tail tucked in buddy and I hope he pits far far away from you this weekend!

I am sick of hearing about JPM - you'd think this guy was Superman here to save NASCAR. Every week its JPM this and JPM that.
Just once I'd like to hear about the 42 other guys out there on the track who have been racing their hearts out in this series (some for many years) instead of some foreigner that seems to only have been brought in to bring in more ratings/fans.
I hear that a lot of guys bitch about him on the track and his driving so all the pro-JPM people ought to think about that.
I hope you can continue to work DT and good luck in NH this weekend!!!
