What a day
I guess in short I would sum up Martinsville as a pretty crappy day. Our car was junk from the start and some how we took a 35th place car and made it a 19 place car. I give a lot of credit to our driver as well as our whole team for not giving up and making this a better day than it should have been. It started out with a car we just couldnt get the handle on and it went down hill from there. Pit stops were ok all day but it didnt really matter as much as it could have. There was one stop where the 28 came out of his box behind us and the 84 was pulling in to his box in front of us and the 84 ended up hitting the 28 and pushing the 28 into our car as we were changing the left side tires, so that was pretty cool. It only knocked it forward about 8 inches or so, but it scared the hell out of me, i thought Ryan was driving off the jack. That could have been worse than it was.
Now, onto Texas. My whole goal coming out of Texas is that we dont drop any more points. Ever since Daytona we have done nothing but go backwards in the points for a month and a half. We need to stop the bleeding and we need to do it now. Thats it for now, holla.

Hey Trent don't get too down. As corny as it sounds positive thinking brings positive results. Yes its frustrating but you guys have a good team and good chemistry. It has come together before and it will come together again.

I don't know about "pretty cool", but am glad no one got hurt.
Performance HAS improved a lot on the mile and a halfs Trent. You had a top ten run going at Atlanta if not for contact with the Texaco Havale-Daj causing a fender rub. After Texas we'll be coming in to some strong tracks for the 12 all the way back to Daytona.

Trent,
The 12 team seems to be working well together and keeping a positive attitude. The true mark of a winning team is one that can not only master good situations, but make the best of bad ones, too -- just like you guys did at Martinsville last Sunday.
Hats off to you all.
Speaking of hats...how 'bout getting some in VL this week? Luck and speed to the 12 team.

You all did pretty well with that "bucket of crap"....
I have faith in the 12 team!!!
Lock and Load and blow their doors off in Texas!!!!

Yea Trent, you guys had a "stinker" of a race car very obviously at Martinsville!
And yes, you guys are doing your best to slide out of the top 12. Most of that is not "over the wall" crew's fault or driver.
I'm more of a realist rather than a optimist. I think you have to do a lot of "faking" in life to be the eternal optimist. You could argue this till the end of time.....beleive what you want?
I do feel a good energy about Team 12 this year. Are you perfect like Hendrick, NO! But, can you come close, yes. All you have to do is take away Team 12's patented "bad luck" since 2005 and your team probably could of won a Championship by now?
I guess for your intellectual survival Trent you have to quickly forget about the bad races and concentrate on the next race. All Team 12 has ever needed is about 75% good luck during an entire racing season.
I will see what I can do!

I thought yall did an awesome job, it could have turned out alot worse! I was quite proud of that 19th place with the way that car was! Yall hung in there and made it work! Great job! It was a crazy crazy day, not just for yall but nearly everyone! But..... on to Texas, where I'll be screaming my lungs out, cheering yall on! Good Luck! Be safe!

"Our car was junk from the start and some how we took a 35th place car and made it a 19 place car."
That statement right there Trents says a lot about the 12 Team and their "never give up" attitudes. You're right.... The car was junk. But, you all stuck with it all day and came out with the best possible finish you could get. As fans, that's all we can ask for. So good job!
Oh....and I hope that Roy has already "cut up" the Martinville car. lol, lol
Best of luck at Texas!

The best way to measure a team is how it reacts to a bad day, you guys have turned them into decent finishes at the short tracks. Hang in there and congrats to you and the wife.

Greetings Trent and Everyone Else,
After a great start on top at Daytona, the only place to go is down. It's to be expected. But the 12 team can hang in there (as you always do) and stop the downslide. I have faith that things will stabilize to keep you in the chase. Congrats on salvaging the decent finish considering the car you had at Martinsville.
I just watched the video clip of McDowell's crash during qualifying. OMG, How terrifying!! So glad he was able to walk away. I'd hate to see any of the drivers get injured. That crash today kind of reminded my of Ryan's big one a few years ago. Another nail biter until you see the driver walk away.
Anyway, tear it up this weekend. As always I'll be pulling for you guys.

nice to have a little luck go your way. The pitstops gained or held position all day and Ryan flat out drove it like he stole it on the last re-start. Sure was a tough struggle most of the day but you gotta love a Top 5 with a 10-15 place car...way to go
