Danica's embarassing to the sport

  Being a fellow racer my self I was embarrassed after watching the fiasco that took place at Indy this weekend.  The hype of the Indy 500 was overshadowed by the pictures of Danica in a bikini.  The coverage of the race was marked by where and what was happening to Danica.  If that was any other male driver there wouldn't have been any covered due to the fact there wasn't anything to cover, but because its a pretty girl that looks good in a bikini and can sell tickets and ratings, they covered every minute of her 500 run.  Here is my second complaint, what did Danica really think she was going to do when she got out of her car and was heading down to the 6 cars pit.  She was stopped before she got to the pits.  During the interview she said that it was better that she didn't get down there.  OK, seriously, what the hell are you really going to do Danica.  Your 5"1 95 lbs. and you think your going to kick butt down in the pits.  It was a joke watching the whole thing.  If the sport of IRL is going to be Danica for the next 15 years then i wont watch another race. holla

The 600

  Well, we didnt do as well in the pit competition this year as we had hoped.  Going in we thought we had a good chance to do well and maybee repeat from last year but it just wasnt happening.  We lost to the 99 car in the second round.  Thank god its all over with, last week is always the most stressful week of the year for me.  You got the competition, qualifying for the all star race, and then the all star race itself.  Dont get me wrong, its all fun but im glad its gone and we can get back to a normal schedule.  Plus, you always got family and stuff that want tickets and all kind of crap during the Charlotte week and some times it gets to hard to try and help everyone.  So any ways, its on to Charlotte.  I hope we have a good run and i think there is no reason we cant.  Ryan has always run well there we just havent finished very good.  I think we can get a good top ten finish and get ourselves back in the top 12 and make a good run at the chase for the next couple of months.  I guess we ll just have to see.

Not a good night

  I guess the easiest way to sum up lat night would be to say horrible.  The night started out with a plitter brace coming apart from the car and forcing us to pit when we didnt want to and fix the splitter.  After that we had a pit road penalty (which was my fault, the penalty was that the rear tire was not in control half way thru the box).  So we had a drive thru penalty which put our driver in a bad spot and put the team two laps down.  After that we fought our way back to get one lap down and we were getting ready to compete for the lucky dog when all hell broke loose.  Some how we broke something underneath the car and had us behind the wall.  The driver was pissed, the crew had a bad night, the mechanics were mad, and all we could do was just fix the problem and try and salvage everything we could.  It was a bad night for points and everything else that could happen.  Along with that there are even more rumors about where our driver is headed next year and none of them seem to be at penske.  Its nothing anyone hasnt heard before but this week the chatter was a little bit louder.  Hopefully ill have a post in a couple days and we ll talk pit competition.
