First race of the year
The season didn't start exactly how we had planned. It was good to get back at the track and get over the wall for the first time in months, but we were hoping for a better finish. Daytona has always been an uncertain place and i was hoping we could have finished a little bit better. I don't know if we had the car to win but we had a good car until our tire blew. The worst part about our whole day was that we were supposed to pit the lap before and David couldn't get down in time to pit so we went another lap and that is when the tire blew. After the tire blew we had a good enough car to stay in the draft but we ran out of time. Hopefully this weekend in California we can get a good solid finish and start making our way back up the points.

It is hard for me to believe Goodyear can't build a tire that will last a fuel run. Trying to use tires designed for the old car on the COT just seems stupid at best. When NASCAR decided on useing the new car Goodyear should have started designing a new bigger tire for the series.

Ryan seems a lot happier this year when being interviewed. It seems like he is having a lot more fun at Stewart-Haas even with the awful luck he has had so far. Hopefully he will have better luck the rest of the season!
