Football season
About this time every year most of the guys on our team are getting geared up for two things, racing and football. Our team currently has 4 college football players on it and the fall is always a good time for bragging right on our favorite teams. Currently we have a Davidson, UVA, NC State, and LR representative on the 12 team. I tend to stay out of this type of bragging argutment because my college team hasn't had a winning record in almost 10 years. Along with college football we have a real nice 12 man fantasy league that alot of the guys play in. Team members from all over the shop participate and it becomes the most talked about thing in the shop outside of racing. So neadless to say im very excited about the upcoming months. As far as this week at Pocono goes, I cant wait. In the past we have run very strong there as a company. Stremme is coming off his second best finish of the year at Indy and hopefully we can put together a string of some good runs. Kurt has won here before and going into the chase with some momentum never hurts. Its off to the mountains and hopefully we dont hit a deer this year. Thats all for now.

A Good Week
This is one of those weekends we always look forward to on the Nascar schedule. The family and I have decided to go down to the beach for a week. Anyone who has been following this blog for the last few years knows that i dont take long vacations. This one is a long one, almost a full week. My wife told me yesterday that this was the first trip over 6 nights that we have taken since we were married. Well, that is not entirely true. We did go to Utah for a week with the Newmans. Anyways, it s been fun playing golf, fishing, and taking the kid down to the beach for the first time. He doesnt like the waves to much but he did go under water for the first time. Well, I hope we run well this weekend in the Nationwide race and we will be ready in two weeks to get to Indianapolis. That’s all for now

The Big One
This week we head back to a track where it’s always exciting and you never know what to expect. I personally have had my good and bad experiences at this track and both are ones that I won’t forget. Last year we were able to win the Daytona 500 and it was the best racing experience I’ve had yet. It’s was the super bowl of our sport and being the 50th anniversary was even better. What some people might not realize is that 6 years earlier at that same track we had a wreck, and I say we( Ryan Newman) that was brutal looking. He flipped something like 6 or 7 times and the car was torn apart bad. The housing was thrown out of the car and there was a picture in sports illustrated that had captured the car after the first flip and you could see the bottom just ripping apart. On the way home it was unbelievable that Ryan didn’t have a scratch on him. He was sore as could be but for the most part he was ok. This track always puts a knot in your stomach but at the same time it’s a great one to watch. Hope everyone tunes in and maybe we can come away with a good finish.
