Off to a good start
The chase is under way and it was a good start for the Penske team. Obviously we thought we had a chance to win but with a top 10 finish we keep ourselves in contention. Winning races is going to be huge in the chase but making sure you have no DNF’s is going to be more important. Kurt had a good run and had a chance to win the race and it just didn’t work out. It was good to see us up front all day and have a solid first run. The 42 car looked solid as well. I think he could be a guy that gets overlooked and could end up doing well in his first chase appearance. Mark Martin is definitely a guy that has everything going right now and someone is going to have to take it from him because I don’t see him giving it away. Heading to Dover for race 2. The Chase
Well thank goodness Richmond is over. Every year that is one of the best races due to the fact that everyone is on pins and needles all night. Its sounds like that wouldn’t be fun but it’s a blast if you’re a competitive guy. Even though the 12 or 77 didn’t have a chance to make the chase I still had a vested interest in the 2 car and were pulling hard for them. So now that the chase is set it’s time to make some predictions. Due to the fact that I’m pulling for Kurt and the 2 car I’m not going make any guesses but I would like to here what everyone else has to say about the next 10 races. There is a lot of new talent coming into the chase and I think it’s going be great to watch. Well, that’s it for now.

Big Annoucement
As everyone is well aware Penske Racing made a big announcement this week in the signing of Brad K. As excited as everyone is about the upcoming year, the team is making a major point to stay focused and finish out the season as well as we can. It’s never an easy thing to go thru when you have a driver switch but it’s all part of the sport and hopefully we can put together some good runs and end the season on a high note.
Changing subject matter onto something that is very dear to me, football season. A friend of mine and neighbor growing up, Joe Cox, will be heading into Okl.
